TPMS A Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is an electronic system designed to monitor the air pressure inside all the tires on automobiles. Each tire contains a small box that replays the current tire pressure to a central console located in the vehicle. All vehicles manufactured after September 2007 are required by U.S. law to have a TMPS system. The vehicle will have a light or digital display that alerts the driver of unsafe tire pressure.
